PATTEX Universal Mastic Tin is the universal contact adhesive with strong initial tack and good temperature resistance. The product bonds quickly with superior strength. Easy to spread, this adhesive ideally lends itself to bonding various surfaces and attaching coatings or veneers in difficult corners. Ideal for bonding rubber, sponge-rubber, leather, carpet, felt, cork to themselves or to substrates such as metal, wood, masonry. It is also suitable for gluing veneer or laminates to wood or wood derivatives. Store at room temperature, not below +5° or above +50°.
Mix the adhesive thoroughly before use. Spread adhesive with notched trowel or brush on both substrates without bringing them into contact. Allow the solvents to evaporate completely for about 10-15 minutes, depending on the adhesive layer applied and the environmental conditions (temperature and humidity) under which you are working. Bring the two surfaces into contact by exerting even, short but strong pressure (e.g., hammering or rolling) taking care not to imprison air bubbles. The piece thus bonded can be moved immediately. Use a solvent (e.g.acetone) to remove traces of fresh adhesive and to clean tools. It is advisable to ventilate the room in which you are working to avoid the accumulation of vapors
